Problem:
How might our designers document and provide background info on their products?
Previous state:
- I realized our designers were struggling to document their design decisions, track progress, and address challenges effectively.
Solution:
I noticed our designers were struggling to document design decisions, statuses, and issues. To tackle this, I created Design Docs—a Figma library of templates that any designer can easily integrate into their files to share project details. This solution ensures seamless continuity, allowing any designer to step in and stay up-to-date on a project, even if the original designer is out of the office or no longer with CRL.
Results:
- Achieved 100% adoption by the design team, resulting in smoother handoffs between designers and significantly reducing friction with updates or changes.
